Civics in 1-all draw

Civics stuttered to a 1-all draw in their encounter against Oshakati City in Windhoek at the weekend.
The result mans that Civics only has a point from two matches in he bag, after losing its opening encounter to Orlando Pirates a week earlier. In fact, the current status which now sees the former triple league champions languishing in the bottom half of the 12 team table, is also not a good start from new coach Ali Akan who took charge this season.
Before going into the encounter, Akan expressed confidence in getting a good result, but the northern-based side stood firm and did not bow to the relentless pressure that Civics exerted.
Akan said he knew it wont be easy for his charges to play against Oshakati City who were out looking for at least a point away from home, which they got in the end.
The draw effectively also pushed City into second spot on the log behind leaders Ramblers who have a 100 percent record from their two matches. Civics are in ninth spot and have conceded three goals in total, while their strikers have been on target only twice.
