Civics set to fire at Gunners
December 2010:
Civics will go into their last match of the firsts round against Mighty Gunners and are expected to collect maximum points from the bottom-plac ed side. The Civilians come from a 0-all draw against their biggest foes, Ramblers last weekend and will go into this match with confidence to better their position on the log standing which has slowly improved in their last few matches.
The side is now placed on the fifth spot after an indifferent start to the season and has managed to win four from 10 matches, with a fifth victory expected this weekend.
Civics w2ill play home at the Sam Nujoma Stadium and the home crowd will be an added advantage for them to bag this encounter, provided that Ali Akan's charges live up to expectations, compared to their match against Ramblers in which they could not convert several chances.
Mighty Gunners are placed last on the log standings and have only won two of their matches out of ten, with six losses and two draws.
The match, with several others on the same weekend will conclude the first round activities of the MTC Premiership before business resumes next January.
