Civics took a huge step closer to winning the MTC Namibia Premier League title for the third year in a row when they picked up a maximum six points away from home over the weekend.
All the other title contenders dropped points over the weekend, which sees Civics opening a gap of seven points at the top of the log.
On Saturday Civics beat Oshakati City 2-1 in Oshakati and the next day they beat Golden Bees 1-0 in Outjo.
Against Oshakati, Civics took the lead through an 11th minute goal by Dumisa Jantze, but Oshakati equalized in the second half. Civics however finished stronger, with their youthful striker Eusebio Fredericks scoring the winner with five minutes remaining.
On Sunday, Civics beat Golden Bees 1-0 through a goal by Danny Chilufya which sees them moving up to 33 points on the log. Oshakati thrashed Friends 6-2 on Sunday to stay third on the log with 26 points.
