Civics completed a successful weekend after beating Golden Bees 4-0 at the Sam Nujoma Stadium on December 3, 2006.
The victory was their second in successive days after they beat Oshakati City 4-1 the previous day and saw them moving away from the bottom of the log.
With Rudi Louw, William Chilufya and Brian Gurirab all in good form, Civics dominated the early exchanges, but it wasn't until the 36th minute that they took the lead. Chilufya received the ball just outside the box, and dropped his marker with a quick shot on the turn that deflected off a defender into the net. Civics maintained the pressure and in the 40th minute Chilufya had a shot cleared off the line, while Floris Diergaardt's rebound shot was tipped away for a corner.
Diergaardt scores The second half had barely begun before Diergaardt found the back of the net, after being put clear by Rudi Louw.
Tugela Tuyeni put the issue beyond doubt in the 61st minute when he rose high to head home a freekick by Mark Isaacs.
Golden Bees' centre forward Haraeb came close to scoring after a quick counterattack when his shot was cleared off the line, but that was the closest the visitors came.
Frans de Muinda replaced Diergaardt in the 81st minute and barely a minute later grabbed Civics' fourth goal when he headed in from a corner.
Civics' young midfielder Steve Titus however blotched their performance when he was sent off for a foul tackle a minute before the end of play.
